The Kreuger-Johnson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Grismer was born Feb. 9, 1881, in Odessa, Russia. He came to America when he was 6. He married Barbara Reinbold Jan. 9, 1904, at Hillsview. He had farmed around Hosmer most of his life moving to Aberdeen in 1941. He was a member of St. Joseph's Society. He is survived by his widow; four sons, Frank and Jacob, of Bowdle, and Baldaser and Edward of Hosmer; five daughters, Margaret Grismer, at home; Mrs. William (Susie) Blossey, Aberdeen; Mrs. Claude (Theresa) Fear, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Peter (Agnes) Heilman, Hosmer, and Mrs. Leroy (Elizabeth) Heineman, Chicago, Ill.; 32 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, a brother and two sisters. Friends may call at the Kreuger-Johnson Mortuary from Friday afternoon until time of services. - Aberdeen American News Friday, April 3, 1959 Page 3 ============================== Solemn Requiem High Mass for Ben Grismer was held Saturday morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Henry Hoerner officiating as celebrant, the Rev. Norbert Rader as subdeacon. Mr. Grismer, 78, died at St. Luke's Hospital Wednesday night after a long illness. He had resided at 218 N. Arch St. Burial was in the Grismer family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Asman, John Volk, Anton Menzia, Phil Braumstein, Paul Ell, Ingatious Reinbold, Jake Heilman, and John Mathern. The active pallbearers were Mr. Grismer's six grandsons: Walter Reinbold and Valentine Wentz, Aberdeen; Leo and Frank Grismer, Bowdle; Anton Grismer, Leola; and Matt Fuhrman, Roscoe.
