Glahn, aged 74 years, died Saturday at the home of his son, Arthur Glahn of North of Clarence, after a lingering illness of some months duration. He was one of the older residents of this county and was a native born Missourian having been born in Marion County, June 16th, 1852. He was united in marriage to Susanna Ray on December 6th, 1977. and of the four children born to this union all survive him, namely, A.F. Glahn of North of Clarence; Mrs. F.W. Glahn, aged 74 years, died Saturday at the home of his son, Arthur Glahn of North of Clarence, after a lingering illness of some months duration. He was one of the older residents of this county and was a native born Missourian having been born in Marion County, June 16th, 1852. He was united in marriage to Susanna Ray on December 6th, 1977. and of the four children born to this union all survive him, namely, A.F. Glahn of North of Clarence; Mrs. F.W. Boring of Clarence, M.E. Glahn of Shelbyville and Mrs. C.R. Barr of Washington, Iowa. Besides these children, he leaves nine grandchildren, 2 brothers, one sister and hundreds of friends and relatives who will sadly miss this loved associate and friend of many years. He made a profession of religion early in life and has lived true to this faith. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church, yesterday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and were conducted by Rev. S. Knupp. He was buried in Maplewood Cemetery on his 49th wedding anniversary.
