His wife died in 1884 and in 1885 he was married to Mrs. Zellers who survives him….The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A short service was held at the home, after which services were held at the U.B. church, conducted by Rev. S.B. McVay of Nehawka…..The internment took place in the Unadilla cemetery. A wife and two sons, Samuel W. of Denver, and Benjamin F. of Lincoln, mourn the death of husband and father. The pall bearers were J.M. Keach, R.J. Vaughan, F. Russell, A. Botsford, G.W. Brandt, and J.W. Bassett.
