Description	:	THE MILFORD REVIEW - Oct. 15, 1952 OBITUARY Benjamin Roth, son of Jacob and Mary Lauber Roth, was born in Wilmendingen, Germany, June 16, 1874, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mabel, Oct. 4, 1952, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 18 days. At the age of 17 he left Germany and came to America and landed in New York, April 13, 1892. In September of the same year he came to Milford, Nebr., to make his future home. Read More	THE MILFORD REVIEW - Oct. 15, 1952 OBITUARY Benjamin Roth, son of Jacob and Mary Lauber Roth, was born in Wilmendingen, Germany, June 16, 1874, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mabel, Oct. 4, 1952, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 18 days. At the age of 17 he left Germany and came to America and landed in New York, April 13, 1892. In September of the same year he came to Milford, Nebr., to make his future home. On Jan. 2, 1892, he was united in marriage to Barbara Ulrich. To this union were born six children, two sons and four daughters, Magdalena, Mrs. Dan Sutter, of Milford; Nick of Wayland, Ia.; Mrs. Mary Burkey, Mabel, Mrs. Louis Erb; Ezra U., all of Milford and Esther, Mrs. Jake Roth, of Seward, Nebr. He leaves to mourn his departure, two sons and four daughter; 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. And preceding him in death are his life companion, father, mother, 11 brothers, 4 sisters and one son-in-law, Alvin Burkey. In his early youth he accepted Christ as his personal savior and united with his Amish Mennonite church in Germany and later transferred to the East Fairview church at Milford, Nebr., to which he remained faithful until death. He was much concerned about the welfare of the church and for his family, and taught a S.S. class for many years. The cause of his death was due to a heart ailment which he bore very patiently to the end.
