He was 95. Born in Georgia where he taught school, worked as a Civil Servant for the Air Force and served as Minister of Music at Morningside Baptist, Savannah, and Log Cabin Baptist, Macon, GA. He and his wife, Clara Underwood Grace, retired to Graceville, FL, in 1976, where he enjoyed flowers, gardening, family and music. He served as Minister of Music at Bethel Baptist and Mt. Calvary before joining 1st Baptist Grace-ville where he loved singing in the choir and his Sunday School class. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2010 at Marvin Chapel Cemetery with Bart Brookins officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing. He was predeceased by his wives Clara Underwood Grace and Kate Griffin (Hinson) Grace. His loving survivors are his son, daughter-in-law, four grandchildren and six great-grand children. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope for Vietnam at www.hopeforvietnam.org Mr. Grace's last song he heard by Fernando Ortega, "I Will Praise Him, Still": "When the morning falls on the farthest hill, I will sing His name; I will praise Him still, When dark trials come and my heart is filled; With the weight of doubt, I will praise Him still; For the Lord, our God, He is strong to save, From the arms of death, from the deepest grave; and He gave us life in His perfect will, and by His good grace I will praise Him still."
