Description	:	Benjamin Thomas "Tommy" "B.T." Edge, Jr. age 78, of Highway 90 died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence following an illness. Mr. Edge was born in Conway, a son of the late Benjamin T. Edge, Sr. and Leona Holden Edge. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Kraft Foods Global for over 32 years. He also worked for Conway Ford for 10 years. Mr. Edge served as a Conway City Councilman from 1968 - 1971. He was of the Baptist faith and had served as Deacon since he was 21. Edge, Jr. age 78, of Highway 90 died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his residence following an illness. Mr. Edge was born in Conway, a son of the late Benjamin T. Edge, Sr. and Leona Holden Edge. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Kraft Foods Global for over 32 years. He also worked for Conway Ford for 10 years. Mr. Edge served as a Conway City Councilman from 1968 - 1971. He was of the Baptist faith and had served as Deacon since he was 21. He was a former member of Pauley Swamp Baptist Church and Jamestown Baptist Church. Mr. Edge was a former Lieutenant with the Horry County Rescue Squad and was a former member of the Conway Jaycees. Mr. Edge was predeceased by his first wife, Carrie J. Edge and a brother, Johnny L. Edge. Surviving are: his wife, Brittie Edge of Conway; one son, Michael Thomas Edge of Conway; three steps sons, Andy Causey, Joey Causey, Dale Causey, all of Conway, a step daughter, Karin Johnson of Aynor and a special daughter in law, Donna Causey of Conway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday from Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Johnny Jenerette and Rev. Dennis Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Pauley Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-2794.
