He was born Sept. 18, 1931, at Chapman, the son of Joe and Marguerite (Warnica) Frazier. He grew to manhood in the community of his birth, attended the local schools and Chapman High School. Frazier, 78, of Abilene, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at the Kay Pogue Hospice Center in Salina. He was born Sept. 18, 1931, at Chapman, the son of Joe and Marguerite (Warnica) Frazier. He grew to manhood in the community of his birth, attended the local schools and Chapman High School. He worked for several area farmers and on Jan. 1, 1951, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He returned home and in 1956, he married Barbara Pierce.?They later divorced. On Aug. 6, 1966, he married Betty Foust in Abilene, and they made their home in Abilene. He had worked at the Krenger Service Station, the Abilene Flour Mill, Vacu-Blast, and retired from Nature-Rich Mills in 1992. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; two daughters, Lynda Frazier-Buehre of Salina and Lisa Gonzales of Denton,?Texas; three sons, Mark Frazier, Michael Frazier and Drew Frazier, all of Salina; eight grandchildren and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a grandson, and a brother-in-law. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday,?Feb. 18, at the Martin-Becker Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene with Pastor Jim Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Abilene Cemetery. The family will receive friends fram 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, where friends may call until time of service. The family of Bennie Frazier suggests that friends may contribute to a fund to help with funeral expenses in his memory. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
