Description	:	Bernard Charles Nielsen, 90, died Feb. 21, 2012, in Denver. Bernard was born on June 14, 1921, in Hamilton County. Bernard spent most of his life in Central City, where he opened a radio repair shop in 1949. His brother, Wayne, joined him in business in 1953. They were one of the first in the area to add television sales and repair service to their shop. Read More	Bernard Charles Nielsen, 90, died Feb. 21, 2012, in Denver. Bernard was born on June 14, 1921, in Hamilton County. Bernard spent most of his life in Central City, where he opened a radio repair shop in 1949. His brother, Wayne, joined him in business in 1953. They were one of the first in the area to add television sales and repair service to their shop. In addition to working with electronics, Bernard had a great love of music and was an excellent pianist. He also had a passion for the outdoors, spending much of his spare time fishing and hunting. After he retired, Bernard moved to Riverside Park, where he enjoyed his home along the Platte River. In 1999, he moved to Denver. Bernard was preceded in death by: parents, Charles and Dorothy Nielsen, and sisters, Virginia Shively, Ileen Johnson and Doris Bodeman. Bernard is survived by longtime companion Marvin Albery of Denver, CO.; brother, Wayne Nielsen of Marquette; eight nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
