Description	:	Bernard Marlo Brink was born on February 22, 1926, in Platte, SD, to Cornelius “Cornie” and Henrietta (Westerhuis) Brink. He attended country grade school in Platte and Darlington Townships before graduating from Platte High School in 1944. Bernard was united in marriage to Esther Qualm on June 6, 1958, at West Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Platte. God gave him a dream of hell and he cried out... Read More	Bernard Marlo Brink was born on February 22, 1926, in Platte, SD, to Cornelius “Cornie” and Henrietta (Westerhuis) Brink. He attended country grade school in Platte and Darlington Townships before graduating from Platte High School in 1944. Bernard was united in marriage to Esther Qualm on June 6, 1958, at West Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Platte. He dedicated his life to farming, living and working on his family farm in Carroll Township for over 70 years. Bernard didn’t receive Christ as his Savior until 32 years of age. God gave him a dream of hell and he cried out to God, “Be merciful to me, a sinner.” God gloriously saved and changed his life. He became a new creation in Christ. He desired to serve the Lord with his whole life and was deeply involved in ministries and ministering. His desire was to see men and women, boys and girls, brought into the Kingdom of God. He left to his children and wife a legacy of love and service to the King. His passion was God’s word, praise and worship to the Lord and to see his family with the same passion. Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelius and Henrietta Brink; a sister, Carol Kats; and a niece, Tammy Kats. From the Mount Funeral Home
