Description	:	Bernard Montana Lien, born on July 8, 1924, to Bertha Eik and Anton Lien in Big Timber, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007. He was the youngest of 12 children. Bernard and his surviving brother, George Lien, enjoyed a close bond. Bernard lived long enough to hold his great-granddaughter and had pictures taken with her, one of his goals. Read More	Bernard Montana Lien, born on July 8, 1924, to Bertha Eik and Anton Lien in Big Timber, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007. He was the youngest of 12 children. Bernard and his surviving brother, George Lien, enjoyed a close bond. Bernard lived long enough to hold his great-granddaughter and had pictures taken with her, one of his goals. Other than his time in the military, Bernard spent most of his life in the Big Timber area. He married Gertrude Aalgaard and they had a daughter, Beverly Watson. Bernard was very proud of his daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bernard loved the mountains, his many friends and his independence. He herded for most of the sheep outfits in the area and he enjoyed the summers herding in the mountains most of all. Many of his best friends are forest rangers past and present, especially Dan Tyers. Bernard enjoyed visiting at the senior center, especially the morning coffee group. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, including all his nieces and nephews.
