Description	:	Bernice Elesa Johanna Dorthea Seehusen, 83, of Allison, died Friday, July 11, at Waverly Health Care Center, Waverly, of natural causes. She was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Bristow, daughter of Martin and Frieda Heuer DeBower. She married George Seehusen Jr. on March 14, 1947. She graduated from Allison High School, received her teaching certificate from Wartburg College and taught elementary classes at Dows for three years. She later returned to Wartburg College to renew her certificate and taught at Allison-Bristow for many years. She was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Bristow, daughter of Martin and Frieda Heuer DeBower. She married George Seehusen Jr. on March 14, 1947. She graduated from Allison High School, received her teaching certificate from Wartburg College and taught elementary classes at Dows for three years. Survived by: her husband; three sons, Jeff (Carol) and James, both of Allison, and Joel (Cindy) of Moorland; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Eileen Berends; a brother, Martin DeBower; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Prange. Preceded in death by: a brother, John DeBower; and a sister, Lucille Prange. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's EV. Lutheran Church, rural Greene, with burial in the church Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Allison.
