Description	:	Bernice Erma Frieling, 99, of Alma died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at Harlan County Health System Hospital in Alma. Bernice was born April 26, 1911, in Huntley to Fred and Pauline (Hausserman) Aldinger. On May 17, 1934, she married Lawrence Frieling at Murdock. He died June 12, 1980. Survivors are: daughter, Janeice Imm and her husband, Ronald, of rural Orleans; granddaughter, Theresa Brugh and her husband, Allen, great-granddaughters, Jenna, Regan and Madalyn Brugh, and great-grandson, Ryan Brugh, all of rural Republican City; grandson, Christopher Imm and his wife, Carmen, and two great-grandsons, Adrian and Tyson Imm of Waterloo; daughter-in-law, Cindy Frieling... Survivors are: daughter, Janeice Imm and her husband, Ronald, of rural Orleans; granddaughter, Theresa Brugh and her husband, Allen, great-granddaughters, Jenna, Regan and Madalyn Brugh, and great-grandson, Ryan Brugh, all of rural Republican City; grandson, Christopher Imm and his wife, Carmen, and two great-grandsons, Adrian and Tyson Imm of Waterloo; daughter-in-law, Cindy Frieling of Omaha and grandsons, Tyler Frieling and his wife, Susan, of New York, N.Y., and Alex Frieling of Omaha; half-sister, Helen Garrison of Grand Island; brother-in-law, Garold "Bud" Dahlheim of Norfolk; and a host of relatives and friends. She was the fourth of nine children. Bernice was baptized at the Evangelical Church east of Huntley. She attended school at Huntley where she was active in all activities. She loved typing and music and played the violin in the Huntley Methodist Church Orchestra. She sang with her two brothers and her father. She graduated from Huntley High School with the class of 1930. She spent time helping at home as well as in other homes. She and Lawrence were married by her uncle, the Rev. Herman Knosp. They resided in Omaha, later moving to Alma to help his father to operate the family businesses, Frieling Oil Co., Frieling Allis Chalmers, Frieling Dairy Barn and Frieling Floral, as well as farming. Bernice was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church, the ALCW, the Hospital Auxiliary, the Athena Sorority and other small groups. She loved to quilt and made many quilts for her friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline, on June 10, 1917; her father, Fred, on March 28, 1974; stepmother, Lena (Zellmer) Aldinger on April 12, 1986; sons, Garry Frieling on Jan. 1, 2003, and Arlo Frieling on Sept. 22, 2007; parents-in-law, Henry and Minnie Frieling; sisters, Lillie Harger and her husband, Glenn, and Norma Edgar and her husband, Paul; brothers, Harvey Aldinger and his wife, Leona, and Walter Aldinger and his wife, Leona; half-brothers, Delmer Aldinger and his wife, Rita, and Earl Aldinger and his wife, Iola; half-sister, LaVerne Dahlheim; and brother-in-law, Lowell Garrison.
