In 1925 she graduated from business college in Sigourney. She was married to Francis Giblin July 20,1927 in Ottumwa. They were parents of two children, Michael Fancis and Jean Ann. They made their home in Chicago, Ill.; North English and Edgewood, Iowa, before moving to Ossian in 1940. Bernice worked at the Silver Springs Creamery with her husband until 1955. From 1983-1994 Bernice Giblin resided in Fresno, Calif., with her daughter and son-in-law, returning to Ossian in 1994. She died at the Postville Good Samaritan Home.
