Description	:	Mass of Christian Burial for Bernice Jahner, 76, of Hettinger, ND, will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2005 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hettinger. Fr. Chad Gion will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29th with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m., all at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 905 3rd Street North, in Hettinger. Bernice Kopp was born on June 17, 1929, at Raleigh, ND to John and Katherine (Schaefer) Kopp. She grew up and attended school in Raleigh. In 1945 she met the love of her life, Roy Jahner and they were united in marriage on October 1, 1946. Their union was blessed with 11 children. Bernice and her family moved to Hettinger, ND in 1950. One of Bernice's many attributes were her caring and giving for others. She was gifted with a great sewing ability, which she would love to share with others. A unique talent was to take many pictures of wedding dresses, tape them together and cut it out to sew the perfect dress from the many different parts. Bernice enjoyed her many years working at the Ben Franklin store for the Chalcrafts. The pride of her life, were her children and family. She will be greatly missed by the many people she has touched in so many ways, including her extended family of the Hillcrest Care Center, where she has resided for the past four years. Bernice Jahner passed from this life on December 27, 2005. Grateful for having shared her life are her six sons, John (Kathy) Jahner, of Hettinger, ND, Ron (Nan) Jahner of Billings, MT, Bob (Ginger) Jahner of Rapid City, SD, Ken (Julie) Jahner of Dickinson, ND, Gary Jahner of Howes, TX, Bill (Julie) Jahner, of Hettinger, ND; five daughters, Nettie (Randy) Schumacher, of Scranton, ND, Cindy Skogen, Bonham, TX, Mary (Roger) Wilson, of Lefor, ND, Janell (Lynn) Meade of Minot, ND and Renae (Tony) Carbajal of Denison, TX; four sisters, Loretta (Mel) Zimmerman, of Puyallup, WA, Luella Wingenback, of Puyallup, WA, Angie (Jim) Spenny, of White Butte, SD, Mary (Gene) Jorenson, of Sturgis, SD and one brother, Bud Kopp, of Sturgis, SD; 31 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Bernice in death was her husband, Roy, her parents, John and Katherine Kopp and two brothers, Emil and Al Kopp.
