Description	:	Bernice M. Edwards, 92, of Burlington, died at 12 a.m. September 24, 2019 at Bickford Cottage in Burlington. She was born November 20, 1926 in Batavia to Dale and Betty Cloke Lynch. She married Max Carman on March 31, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1982. She married Jesse Edwards on October 25, 1990. Bernice was a graduate of Eldon High School and the Iowa Success School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, bowling, dancing, playing cards and especially being with family. Surviving is her husband, Jesse; her children, Carolyn (Ron) Bailey of Ottumwa, Jack (Marcia) Carman of Burlington and Diane (Mike) Rogers of Warrenton, MO; 6 grandchildren, Trenton, Trena, Joshua, Jeremy, Todd and Dana; 12 great-grandchildren, Madison, Taylor, Jaxson, Hannah, Harper, Alexander, Henry, Max, Leo, Harrison, Zoe and Emma; step-children, Dana Tucker of West Point, IA, Kirk Edwards of Mt. Pleasant and Patty (Jay) Smith of West Burlington. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Max Bailey. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery. The family will be present one hour prior to the service.
