Description	:	Bernice Myers Hancock, 80, of Apache Junction, Ari., formerly of Ottumwa, died Oct. 27, 1998, in a Scottsdale, Ari., hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred in Apache Junction on Oct. 22, 1998. She was born April 22, 1918, in Douds. She married Robert I. Hancock in 1942. He died in 1983. She graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1935, where she had attended many of the recent reunions with her close friend Glenn Shepp, until his death in 1992. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and Elks in both of these locations. She is survived by a son, Robert L. Hancock of San Diego, Calif.; and a daughter, Sharon K. Hancock of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Lehnen of Apache Junction, Ari.
