Description	:	Bernice V. Govig, was born on a farm near Ceresco, Neb. on September 12, 1913. Bernice was the daughter of Fred and Ida Edner. Bernice passed into the presence of the Lord Friday, June 7, 2013, at The Arbors. She was 99 years old. Bernice graduated from Ceresco High School in 1930. During her young years she was very active in the Ceresco Covenant Church activities, choir, Bible camp, and Girls Choral Club. Govig, was born on a farm near Ceresco, Neb. on September 12, 1913. Bernice was the daughter of Fred and Ida Edner. Bernice passed into the presence of the Lord Friday, June 7, 2013, at The Arbors. She was 99 years old. Bernice graduated from Ceresco High School in 1930. During her young years she was very active in the Ceresco Covenant Church activities, choir, Bible camp, and Girls Choral Club. Bernice trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in the fall of 1933. She was united in marriage to Glen E Govig on March 6, 1948. Bernice worked at Central Electric and Gas Company in Lincoln, in 1951 they moved to Norfolk and Bernice worked as an occupational therapist at the Norfolk State Hospital. Glen and Bernice moved back to Lincoln and she continued to work in occupational therapy at the Lincoln State Hospital. She worked with children, young people and adults, she enjoyed teaching and helping them. ## Over the years Glen and Bernice spent time taping church conferences in many states. They did tape duplicating for Back To The Bible and had a tape ministry called, "The Word On Tape". They opened their home to young people, of all ages, for Bible studies and visiting pastors to stay. Bernice also hosted a tape Bible study at Tabitha Village for 13 years. Her husband, Glen, went home to be with the Lord in 1995. In her Christian walk she dearly loved her family, a brother Orville and a sister Iolene, many cousins and two step-children. She also was very thankful for many good friends, to know her was to love her. She will long be remembered for her faithfulness, the many scriptures she could quote even at 99, her kindness and compassion for all who came in contact with her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her brother, Orville; and sister, Iolene. She is survived by a step-daughter and son-in-law, Beverly & Kenny Gleason of Wood River; a step-son, Lyle Govig of Edmond, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Ramona Govig of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; cousins and other family members. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (6/11/13), Indian Hills Community Church, 1000 So. 84th. Rev. Larry Rieckenberg officiating. Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery, Davey.
