Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, Dawn Ginther, Nathan, Marshall, Christopher and Stephanie Ginther; Shane and Brandy Starry; Tracy, David and James DeYarman; Justin Danford, Perry, Selah, Rael and Breanna Knapp; and Chad and Kristin Mackerman. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lillian, and two brothers, Albert and Don. Born the daughter of Michael and Marie Davis Becker on May 29, 1930, in Watkins, she married Arlo Ginther on March 6, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. Berniece was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marion. When she was born, she cried and the world rejoiced. She lived life in such a way that when she died the world cried and she rejoiced. Monsignor John McClean will officiate.
