Description	:	(Berry) Cay Smith Dies July 29 (1967). Funeral services were held Monday, July 31, at 2 p.m. in the Goodrich chapel for Cay Smith of Osceola, who died July 29 at his home at the age of 69 years, four months and 25 days. Officiating was Rev. C. Fay Kessinger, pastor of the Osceola Methodist church. Songs were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Dick Kiefer and Tevis, and accompanied by Mrs. John M. Belisle. Pallbearers were Tom Graham, Shirley Collins, Johnnie Stephens, Fred Baker, Ted Cloud and Pawle Wisner. Burial was made in Holsapple cemetery.... Read More	(Berry) Cay Smith Dies July 29 (1967). Cay Smith, youngest son of Lewis and Emma Smith, was born March 4, 1898, on a farm near Collins. On April 8, 1920, he was married to Mamie South. Two children, Loree, who died in infancy, and a son, Jack, were born to the couple. Mr. Smith spent his entire life in the Collins and Osceola communities. He was a farmer and trucker until his health began to fail. He had been an invalid the past 20 months. Survivors are his wife; son, Jack; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn; two grandsons, Jerry and Kim; one sister, Nellie Gardner and one brother, Robert Smith, both of Collins. He became a member of the Christian Church in Collins on Feb. 2, 1938. (St. Clair County Historical Society)
