Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Levander Funeral Home in Albion. The Rev. Mary Avidano will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cem. He moved to Albion with his parents while a young boy and attended Albion City Schools through the 9th grade. As a young man he worked for the Bell Telephone Company building telephone lines through out the county. On June 2, 1927 he married Elsie Donnelly. They lived in various communities while Bert worked for the telephone company. He began work with Consumer Public Power Company on June 1, 1935 and worked for them until his retirement on December 31, 1964. Elsie Snyder died in May 1956. On June 28, 1963 he married Nora Tripp. They lived in Albion all their married lives. Nora Snyder died September 4, 1987. Mr. Snyder continued to live at his home until his recent illness. He had been a member of the United Church of Christ and a past member of the Albion Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include Donald Gene of Holdrege, Robert Lee of Creighton, one daughter, Connie Kae (Mrs. Sever) Paulsen of Albion, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, one stepdaughter Cheryl (Mrs. Melvin) Munsinger of Grand Island and 5 step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives Elsie and Nora, one son Gary and 3 brothers, Allen, Vernon and Stanley.
