Description	:	B. M. Boyer, son of George F. and Mary Elizabeth Boyer, was born at Farmington, Iowa on January 12, 1878. He resided within the vicinity of Farmington all of his earthly life. Mr. Boyer was a farmer and specialized in raising Chester White hogs. He sold his first hog by mail order to a man in Nebraska in 1901. Since that time he had sold and furnished pedigrees for 4,310 hogs to 2, 665 different purchasers in the United States, South America and Europe. Boyer, son of George F. and Mary Elizabeth Boyer, was born at Farmington, Iowa on January 12, 1878. He resided within the vicinity of Farmington all of his earthly life. Mr. Boyer was a farmer and specialized in raising Chester White hogs. He sold his first hog by mail order to a man in Nebraska in 1901. Since that time he had sold and furnished pedigrees for 4,310 hogs to 2, 665 different purchasers in the United States, South America and Europe. His herd produced more National and State Fair Champions than any other herd in America. Mr. Boyer was known throughout the United States as an expert fancy hog producer. He was united in marriage October 21, 1902 to Gertrude a Burrier, and to this union were born seven children: Harold F. Boyer of Pontiac, Mich., Chester H. Boyer, deceased, Mydrian B. Boyer, Farmington, Paul E. Boyer, Pontiac, Mich., Bernice Boyer Crocker, Farmington, Virgil E. Boyer Hughes, Sacramento, California, and Bruce E. Boyer of Port Washington, Long Island, New York. All of whom, save one, together with their mother are left to mourn his passing. The deceased was baptized into full membership of the Baptist Church December 22, 1896. He remained a faithful servant, both to his Lord and to mankind. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, October 20, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Maugans officiating. Interment was in the Farmington Cemetery.
