Description	:	Bert P Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Franklin Wells, was born at Hale, Missouri and passed away at Wray, Thursday evening, Feb. 13, 1941 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 2 days. He lived with his parents and attended the public schools near Avalon, Missouri, as a man, he attended the Chillicothe Preparatory College for two years. Read More	Bert P Wells, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Franklin Wells, was born at Hale, Missouri and passed away at Wray, Thursday evening, Feb. 13, 1941 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 2 days. He lived with his parents and attended the public schools near Avalon, Missouri, as a man, he attended the Chillicothe Preparatory College for two years. When nearly 20 years old, Mr. Wells moved to Goodland, Kansas where he taught school about five years. Then he took up a homestead near there for two years. On October 8, 1902 at the age of 27 he was united in marriage to Alta Standish. To this union two sons were born. In 1912 he moved with his family near Burlington, Colorado, where he engaged in farming until his declining years. he has since resided in the town of Burlington until his recent illness about a month ago. Mr. Wells enjoyed the admiration of his many acquaintances. From early boyhood he took a genuine interest in the church, and was a faithful attendant throughout his earlier years, ever mindful of others, ready to lend a helping hand in time of need, spreading sunshine with his friendly smile and cheerful greeting In 1938 he became a member of the Christian Church at Burlington and has since been a man of prayer, and a student of Gods Word. He leaves to mourn his passing his two sons, Albert of Cozad, Nebraska and Dale of Wray, Colorado, One sister, Mrs. O.G Warst of Grainfield, Kansas and other near relatives and a host of friend and neighbors. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Christian Church. Rev. Harold McKellop conducted the services and the burial was at Grandview Cemetery.
