Bert Tronson was born on a farm in Lincoln County, north of Worthing, SD on Mar. 20, 1907 the son of Tron and Dena Elisa (Lee) Tronson. He grew up in this area attending Sherman Rural School. On May 22, 1928 he married Anna Poppens at her parental home near Harrisburg, SD. They farmed their family farm north of Worthing for 50 years. In 1979 they retired and moved into Lennox. Anna died on May 4, 1993 ending a marriage of nearly 64 years. Bert continued to live in Lennox until moving into Sioux Falls. Besides his parents and wife Anna, Bert was preceded in death by one daughter, Evelyn, three brothers and two sisters. Grateful for having shared his life are his children: Arnie Tronson and his wife Pat of Sioux Falls, SD, Orville Tronson and his wife Mary Lynn of Spencer, IA and Lester Tronson of Garretson, SD and daughter Betty Sunde and her husband, Gordon of Nixa, MO; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
