Description	:	Bertel Lindberg, 79, of Niobe, died Sunday, February 18, 1990, at St. Alexius MedCenter of Bismarck. His funeral was Friday, February 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Elmdale Lutheran Church of Niobe. Burial followed in Lakeview Cemetery of Kenmare. Officiating for the service was Rev. Peter Coen-Tuff. Organist was Ilene Mickelsen and vocalist was Linda Freeman. Active casketbearers included Duane Lindberg, Darrie Lindberg, Milo Nystrom., Marvin Lindquist, Alex Chilman, and Myron Nordloef. Bertel Eugene Lindberg was born on June 3, 1910, in Vanville Township of Burke County, a son of David and Emma (Dahlin) Lindberg. He was raised on the family farm and attended rural schools in that area for his education. He lived and farmed in Burke County his entire life. He moved into Niobe in 1969 and he was married to Marian Chilman on March 6, 1971 and she died on July 17, 1982. He continued to live in Niobe. He was a member of the Elmdale Lutheran Church. He is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Burns of Mt. Horeb, WI; three granddaughters Mrs. Scott (Konnie) Jerabek of New Richmond, WI, and Lori and Merodee Burns of Mt. Horeb, WI; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Morgan and Andrea Jerabek; brother, Albert of Stanley and sisters, Agnes Nystrom of Kenmare, and Esther Tosseth of Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Frank. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home of Kenmare handled the service. From the Kenmare News.
