They departed this life May 16, 1910. She was united in marriage to Ed Wylie Dec 20,1605.(sic 1905). She was converted at the age of 18 when she united with the Methodist congregation at Monmouth in which church, she remained a member until in October, 1908 when she, with her husband united with the Christian church at Independence, where she labored until death called her home. - We deplore her death with feelings of deepest grief, but with the sincere hope that her soul is resting happily in a world where all is tranquility and joy; for in her last days she left the testimony that she was not afraid to die, but was ready to go. All that loving hands and medical skill could do was done, yet death claimed her as his victim. We learn that death is sure and unrelenting and that the great, the strong, the humble, the weak, the fair, the beautiful, must all alike, cross the same river that our sister has crossed. "Be ye; therefore, ready for in such an hour as ye think not the son of man Cometh." We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the broken-hearted husband and little daughter, also to the father, mother, brothers in this hour of bitter grief. But may we hope that even so great a bereavement may be overruled for our highest good. We do not always understand God's way which is always best.
