Read More	SOURCE: Death Certificate: ''''''''''''''''''''''''' The Billings Gazette, MT. 2/12/1994 Saturday Page 8 Bertha B Hodgson MILES CITY, MT. --- Bertha B Hodgson, age 80, of Miles city, passed away Wednesday Feb. 9, 1994, at Friendship Villa of an extended illness. She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in Mobridge, S.D., the daughter of Adam and Rose Phillips Brandel. She attended school until the eighth grade, then helped her farther take care of her two younger sisters. In October of 1934, she married John O. Hodgson in Selby, S.D. They moved to Mobridge until 1934, when they moved to Miles City, MT., where she has resided since. All through her life, Bertha worked as a housekeeper. She worked many years for Dr. Arlene Anderson at the Gingham Lady Motel. She retired in 1975. After retirement, she traveled and helped raise her grandchildren. Mrs. Hodgson is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Bett (Tom) South, Lucy (Dick) Peterson and two sons and their wives, Cliff (Joanne) Hodgson, Will (Wanda) Hodgson, all of Mies City. She also is survived by a sister and her husband, Bake (Emil) Weise of Chicopee, Mass.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Hodgson on June 18, 1993, and a sister, Tillie Kreuger in 1952. Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 14, 1994, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home with Father Larry Manion officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Custer County Cemetery, Miles City, MT. Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
