Description	:	Bertha E. Donnel Syracuse Bertha E. Donnel, 86, died on Nov. 19, 1993, at the Hamilton County Extended Care Facility, Syracuse. She was born on June 1, 1907, north of Alliance, Neb., the daughter of Jacob Bailey and Ella Ann Cartwright Petty. A resident of Syracuse since 1912, she was a 1926 graduate of Syracuse High School. She was born on June 1, 1907, north of Alliance, Neb., the daughter of Jacob Bailey and Ella Ann Cartwright Petty. A resident of Syracuse since 1912, she was a 1926 graduate of Syracuse High School. He died Dec 23, 1975. Mrs. Donnel was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She had been active at the V.I.P. Center in Syracuse. She enjoyed pitching horseshoes, and playing cards. Until the last few years, she bowled. Survivors are: two daughters, Donetta Westerman, Syracuse, and Sandra Baldwin, Leavenworth; a son, Frank Donnel, Syracuse; a sister, Dorothy Edgell, Ocala, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Claudene Joy Ross, and two brothers, Lee and Archie Petty. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, Syracuse. The Rev. James Bush will officiate. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Kehr-Greene Funeral Home, Syracuse.
