Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Boelter-Eastgate Funeral Service, 200 W. Turnpike Ave., Bismarck, with the Rev. Joel Sherer officiating. Burial will be in Ashley Lutheran Cemetery, Ashley. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and for one hour prior to services Friday at Boelter-Eastgate Funeral Service. Bertha was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Angela, Mont., the daughter of Phillip and Barbara (Ebel) Fischer. After moving from Montana to North Dakota, she finished her required education. She was employed doing housework in different locations. Her last employment was with St. Alexius as housekeeper for 25 years, after which time she retired. Bertha is survived by one sister, Elma Aman, Bismarck; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Herman and Mildred Fischer, Onalaska, Wis., Orvin and Lorraine Fischer, Portland, Ore., Mary Fischer, Lead, S.D., and Helen Fischer, Lehr; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Barbara Fischer; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Esther Fischer and Ernestine and Lloyd Manke; and three brothers, Theophil, Arthur and Theodore Fischer.
