Mrs. Harrison, who lived in Norfolk a number of years was born in Switzerland and came to the United States at the age of 18, first living in Stanton. Her maiden name was Miss Bertha Gaffer. She resided in Stanton a number of years, then moved to Crawford, later coming to Norfolk about thirty-five years ago. During this time, the family lived in Hadar for three years where Mr. Harrison operated the elevator following which they returned to Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Harrison gave up their Norfolk home ten years ago and since have been living with their children, mostly with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Tonner in Odebolt, Ia. It was there she was taken ill. Other children surviving are Mrs. R. W. Shepard and Mrs. John Randall of Omaha and Mrs. W. H. Guest of Lincoln and two sons, Ray and Ben, both of Norfolk. Her husband will be 90 years old Sept. 1. Mrs. Harrison had two brothers, one remaining in Switzerland where he died a number of years ago, the other, who came to America, also preceded her in death. Funeral services are to be held Sunday evening at 7 o'clock at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. W. S. Erwin in charge. The body will lie in state Saturday at the Berge-Thenhaus-Howser-Swoboda Home for Funerals from 3 until 9 p.m.
