Bertha was born June 16, 1909 to Otto Edward and Fannie (Boatsman) Krantz on their family farm near Sterling, Nebraska. Read More	Bertha Coover June 16, 1909-July 8,2006 Bertha Irene (Krantz) Coover, age 97, of Minatare, died peacefully, Saturday, July 8, 2006 in Scottsbluff. Graveside Funeral Services will be held July 15, 2006 at East Lawn Cemetery in Minatare. Bertha was born June 16, 1909 to Otto Edward and Fannie (Boatsman) Krantz on their family farm near Sterling, Nebraska. She attended a one-room country school near her home and completed her education in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Paul L. Coover in 1930 in Torrington, Wyoming. She and her husband lived in the Broken Bow area before moving to Minatare where she has lived in the same home for 55 years. Bertha was a member and past board member of the Minatare Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Women's Association, was a member of the Quarter Century Club, the Monday Canasta Club and was a member and past local and state president of the War Dad's Auxiliary. She also wrote the Minatare area news for the Gering Courier for a number of years. She is survived by sons Robert and his wife Minetta Coover of Scottsbluff, Roger and his wife Ayfer Coover of Ankara, Turkey, and Michael and his wife Marie Coover of Riverside, California; and daughters Bonnie Wickard and Jane Miller, both of Scottsbluff and Paula and her husband Rod Korte of Dayton, Ohio. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Her parents, her husband Paul, son and daughter in law Edward (Jake) and Mary Coover, son in law Herb Wickard, granddaughter Min Johnson and eight brothers preceded her in death.
