She was born Oct. 20, 1912, in Iola, the daughter of Lee and Pearl Stroup McHatton. She grew up in the El Dorado area. She married Wesley Hayes in 1929 in El Dorado. They divorced. In 1934 she married Jack Sigler in Eureka and they moved to Iola. He preceded her in death. She married William F. Baker Oct. 18, 1945. Iola was their home. He died in 1984. She was born Oct. 20, 1912, in Iola, the daughter of Lee and Pearl Stroup McHatton. She grew up in the El Dorado area. She married Wesley Hayes in 1929 in El Dorado. They divorced. In 1934 she married Jack Sigler in Eureka and they moved to Iola. He preceded her in death. She married William F. Baker Oct. 18, 1945. Iola was their home. He died in 1984. She worked a number of years at Fryer’s grocery store. Other survivors include one brother, Leo McHatton of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Richard and Kirby Byers of Iola, Michael Byers of Manhattan and Noel Logan, Oklahoma; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Memorial Chapel to leave for 11 a.m. graveside services in Highland Cemetery. Pastor Marion Sponseller will officiate.
