Description	:	This Labor Day morning, Sept. 3, 2001, after 90 years of living a great life here in this world, Bertha Tyler, went to be with our Lord and our God to have a greater life in a better world. Read More	This Labor Day morning, Sept. 3, 2001, after 90 years of living a great life here in this world, Bertha Tyler, went to be with our Lord and our God to have a greater life in a better world. Bertha was born at Rosebud, AR to Jess and Ida (Dobbs) Young. This world was not her home, she was just journeying through. Her journeys brought her to Wenatchee to live in 1965. She came with her husband of 67 years, Freeman Tyler, who is waiting for her to meet him there with the Lord. Bertha loved God and worshipped at the New Life Center Church of God in East Wenatchee of which she became a member from the time she moved to Wenatchee. Bertha attended church faithfully until she was in her late 80s and got to where she just could not attend. Bertha did her best to teach her surviving children the ways of right and wrong and to love God. Surviving children are three sons and a daughter and their families: Ruth Williams of East Wenatchee; Harrel and Mearline Rice of East Wenatchee; Billy and Becky Tyler of Ridgecrest, CA; and Bobby Tyler of Wenatchee. Surviving grandchildren are: Richard (Rick) Tyler, Heather McCourt, Joe and Jim Williams, Terrie Tyler, Joyce Beaver, Duane Rice, Geri Mills, Susan Nicholes, Laurie Gunard and Amy Hamman. Because Bertha had a long and full life, there are many surviving great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren and because of her long and full life, many of her loved ones are awaiting her in Heaven. The most recent ones who preceded her in death were her husband Freeman Tyler, her great-granddaughter, Robyn, her husband Chris Virnig and their 5-year-old son, Kohlbe; her grandsons, Mike Tyler and Richard (Rich) Rice and her granddaughter Pamala. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday afternoon, Sept. 6, 2001 in the Colonial Chapel of the Jones & Jones Funeral Home. Pastor Ronald Hodges will officiate. Concluding services and the interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Jones & Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
