Description	:	Mrs. John Dykstra was born in Marion County Iowa, June 10, 1875, and died at her home east of Oskaloosa, Saturday, October 28, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 19 days. She had been failing in health for several weeks, her condition becoming serious only a few days before her death. She was married to John Dykstra February 16, 1899. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dykstra, three sons, John of Attica and Ben and Alva of Beacon, Iowa, and one daughter who preceded her mother in death, having died December 16, 1905. ... Read More	Mrs. John Dykstra was born in Marion County Iowa, June 10, 1875, and died at her home east of Oskaloosa, Saturday, October 28, at the age of 64 years, 4 months and 19 days. She had been failing in health for several weeks, her condition becoming serious only a few days before her death. She was married to John Dykstra February 16, 1899. Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Dykstra, three sons, John of Attica and Ben and Alva of Beacon, Iowa, and one daughter who preceded her mother in death, having died December 16, 1905. Mrs. Dykstra was converted many years ago, and united with the Coal Creek Church. While she had moved from the home community, she maintained her membership in this church, of which she was a member at the time of her death. She was a loving wife and companion, a kind and devoted mother to her children, a true and faithful friend to all who knew her. Her last words were to her husband, to whom she said, "John, you have always been good to me." The loss of Mrs. Dykstra is sustained by the husband, the sons named above, the grandchildren, the brothers, John Meyer of Pella, Iowa and Ben Meyer of Dudley, Iowa the sister, Mrs. William Van Baren and Miss Josie Meyer of Pella, the more distant relatives and many friends in this community and in the community east of Oskaloosa in Spring Creek Township. Funeral services were held at the Coal Creek Church 12 miles southwest of Oskaloosa, in charge of Dr. Charles M Edmondson, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment was at the Coal Creek Cemetery.
