Description	:	BERTHA ROSE HUETHER was born on November 28, 1923 southwest of Regent, ND in rural Hettinger County, to Fred and Paulina (Heckenlaible) Huether. She grew up and worked there on the family farm and was proud of her 8th grade diploma that she received from the country school. Bertha worked in Mott for a short time as a waitress, where she met Ralph Wetzstein. They were united in marriage on April 29, 1944 in Mott. Read More	BERTHA ROSE HUETHER was born on November 28, 1923 southwest of Regent, ND in rural Hettinger County, to Fred and Paulina (Heckenlaible) Huether. She grew up and worked there on the family farm and was proud of her 8th grade diploma that she received from the country school. Bertha worked in Mott for a short time as a waitress, where she met Ralph Wetzstein. They were united in marriage on April 29, 1944 in Mott. They began farming Ralph's stepfather's place and later moved to Bertha's father's place south of Mott and then south of New Leipzig. Bertha enjoyed the Sunday "get-togethers" and always prepared a meal for her family. In 1953 they bought a farm 15 miles northeast of Mott, in Steiner Township where they lived until Ralph passed away on May 3, 1989. Bertha later moved into an apartment in Mott in the early 1990's. She enjoyed the company of her neighbors and raised a garden, sharing the produce that she raised with many. Bertha entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Mott in 2003, where she passed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2005. Bertha loved visiting with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, music, especially country music and loved watching the musicians who would come to the Good Samaritan Nursing Center to play. Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Kerwin (Sharon) Wetzstein, of Bismarck, ND; daughters, Ralphine (Paul) Freisz, of New Prague, MN and Geroldine Laemmle and husband Roger, of Puyallup, WA; three brothers, Art (Bernice) Huether, of Mott, Calvin Huether, of Bismarck and Melvin (Joan) Huether, of Bismarck; sister, Anna Aasheim, of Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding Bertha in death were her parents, her husband, one son, one son-in-law, one grandson, three brothers and three sisters. Burial at St. Vincent's Cemetery.
