Ransom died at Jefferson Square Manor Wednesday at 12:20 p.m. The daughter of Stephen and Susanan Feihle Schwartzenbach, she was born Sept. 13, 1885 near Ash Grove. A resident of Ottumwa for 65 years, she was a member of Willard Street Methodist Church and WBA No. 29. She was a former employe of Johnson Funeral Chapel. Surviving are one son, Carol A. Priester, Bloomfield funeral director; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Eileen Collins of Kansas City, Mo., and a stepson, Jack Ecton of Quincy, Ill.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was the last of her family. Preceding her in death were her first husband, George Priester Feb. 29, 1936; her second husband, Elmer Ecton Aug. 23, 1951; and a son, Maurice A. Priester July 3, 1966. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Donald Arthur of Bloomfield. The casket will be taken from the Priester Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield, to Johnson’s on Friday afternoon. It will be closed at the beginning of the service. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
