They had six children;Perry,Henry,Nora,Harold,Florence, Willard In 1892 Bertram Pederson came to America and settled in Worth County, Iowa near a brother who had emigrated from Norway earlier. Cecelia married this dashing young man on January 17, 1897 and for a few years lived on a farm at Fertile Iowa. In 1906 they moved to a farm near Willmar, Minnesota. There was much talk of cheap productive land in the Dakotas and Bert's sister and family had migrated to North Dakota. This provided the incentive and Bert and five of their children left for Guelph, Dickey County, North Dakota in 1913. Their six child was born there. A farm on the N 1/2 of section 31 in Port Emma Twp., five miles south of Guelph was purchased. The six children all helped. It was only nineteen short years later when Bert Pederson died from complications of an abscess on his tongue. Mr Pederson was looked upon as a successful farmer, had been a member of the school board,director of the Guelph Farmer's Elevator. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Moe of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of Aberdeen officiating. Interment was in the Ellendale Cemetery. After Bert's death Cecelia remained on the farm with her oldest son Perry until her death in 1954. Research Harriet A. Rye Madson
