Description	:	Beryl E. Gares, 94, of Farmington died at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society Van Buren in Keosauqua. Born Sept. 1, 1916, in Stockport, she was the daughter of Ernest and Mabel Hall Moore. On Sept. 13, 1942, she married Donald "Pete" Gares in Kahoka, Mo. He died Nov. 2, 1985. Mrs. Gares worked at Sheaffer Pen Co. for Singer Sewing, and with her husband owned and operated Bridge Cafe in Farmington. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory in Farmington, where the family will receive friends. The funeral for Mrs. Gares will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory, with Richard Eis officiating. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery in Bonaparte. A memorial has been established.
