Beryl was born on Feb. 2, 1925, in Florence, Kan., he daughter of Azle G. and Ida M.(VanBibber) Frye. She graduated from Russell High School in 1942 and Wesley School of Nursing. She was united in marriage to Earl Arthur Lacy on Dec. 22, 1945, in Wichita. She retired in 1985 from Dr. Shields’ office in the El Dorado Clinic after 24 years of service. Volunteering was a joy for her at the Susan B. Allen Gift Shop and the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Some of her memberships included the First Christian Church, District 10 Nurses Assn., and also the Kansas State Nurses Assn. Beryl was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Earl in 2005; son, Gene Lacy; and four brothers. Memorial contributions in Beryl’s name may be directed to the First Christian Church or Butler County Community College’s Nursing Scholarship in memory of her son, Gene Lacy.
