Bess Ione (Crampton) Bral (1904 - 1992)......................................Bess Ione Bral was born on July 6, 1904, the daughter of William and Rose Brown Crampton, in Vail, Iowa. She died on Friday, June 12, 1992 at the Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 87 years.................................Bess grew up in Vail where she was baptized in Christ at the First Presbyterian Church in Vail by the Rev. Emery Zimmerman. Additionally, she received her formal education in the Vail Community School.................................After completing her education, she was united in marriage to Frank O. Bral on August 21, 1922 and were blessed with five children. The couple lived in Denison for a few years and subsequently moved to a farm near Deloit, Iowa where they farmed for a number of years before moving to Vail...........................In 1976, Frank died and Bess moved to Denison where she made her home with her daughter, Nancy Love and her husband Kenneth and their family..................................Her strong faith in God allowed her to see joy in all of His creations and gave her the strength to finish to perfection, all of the many projects she started. Additionally, Bess enjoyed occupying her free time reading and cooking.................................She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; four brothers, Clyde, Carl, Floyd, and Oliver; and two sisters, Vera and Vada. Survivors include her children: John Bral and his wife, Carole of Santa Paula, California; Nancy Love and her husband, Ken of Denison; Maxine Graham and her husband Max of Omaha, Nebraska; Robert Bral and his wife Marcella of Denison; and James Bral and his wife Lorraine of Denison. Also thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters Eva Crampton of Denison and Verda Benton and her husband, Lester of Denison; and one brother Jess Crampton and his wife Jane of Vail.
