Description	:	Bessie Ann Wilken, the daughter of Herbert and Pacey Atter Creese, was born October 9, 1902, in Willow Township, Crawford County, Iowa. She grew up in the Charter Oak, Iowa, area and was married to Hans Henrichsen in 1920. They had two sons, Ralph and Kenneth. The family moved to Denison, Iowa, in 1945 and Mr. Henrichsen died in 1952. In 1954 Bessie was married to Carl J. Wilken in Denison. Bessie died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison, January 11, 1974, following a heart attack. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Percy and LeRoy Creese. She is survived by her husband, Carl of Denison, two sons, Ralph of Illinois and Kenneth of California, four step children, Florence Kyle of Sioux City, IA, Irene Bloom of Omaha, NE, Vernie Wilken of Denison, and Luetta Wabschall of Ohio, 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two brothers, Raymond Creese of Charter and Clifford Creese of Charter Oak. She had been an aid member of 25 years and a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Denison, IA. Funeral services were held January 15, 1974 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Denison, with the Rev. Robert Maschke officiating. Burial was at the Morgan Cemetery, Schleswig. Maxwell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
