It was also given as "A" in the 1940 Census for Des Moines, Iowa. --------------- Obituary From Ottumwa Courier, March 19, 1964: Mrs. Bessie Brady Mrs. Bessie Ann Brady, 76, died suddenly Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. at her home, 1411 W. Seventh, in Des Moines. The daughter of Lewis and Sarah C. Lothridge Fisher, she was born Sept. 17, 1887 at Eldon. She moved to Ottumwa as a child and lived here most of her life. Following the death of her husband, she was an employ of the Brown Manufacturing Co. and was transferred to Des Moines by the company 30 years ago. Mrs. Brady was a member of the East End Presbyterian Church. Her marriage to Claude C. Brady took place March 18, 1906 [sic] in Ottumwa. He died in 1931 [sic]. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and one sister. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edna Colton of Ottumwa, Mrs. Eva Goethe of Garden Grove, Calif., and Mrs. Claudine Heckart of Des Moines; one son, William Brady of Long Beach, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Shaw of Billings, Mont., Mrs. James Judson of Conneautville, Pa.; Mrs. Lola Neff and Mrs. Grace Claypool, both of Ottumwa, and two brothers, Lewis Fisher of Davenport and Everett Fisher of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. C.W. Gault of the East End Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
