The former Bessie Leona Daughtery, she was born Oct. 12, 1916 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Charles & Emma (Burns) Daugherty. She spent her childhood at Cantril. The former Bessie Leona Daughtery, she was born Oct. 12, 1916 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Charles & Emma (Burns) Daugherty. She spent her childhood at Cantril. On Jan. 7, 1940, she married Stanley Anders of Farmington who survives. The couple moved from Cantril to Farmington shortly after they were married. She was employed at the W. A. Sheaffer Pen Company at Ft. Madison for 5 years. She was a member of the Baptist church at Farmington. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mary Anders, at home; one brother, Robert H. Daugherty of Wever; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Sadler of Lebanon and Mrs. Pauline Wiley of Milton. She was preceded by her parents and one brother. Funeral service was held Monday, Sep. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Farmington Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald Hutchings officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
