Bette Jeanne Alborn Stover was born on May 27. 1939 in Emmetsburg, the daughter of Albert and Mildred Pieratt Alborn. She was raised in the Laurens area where she received her education, graduating from Laurens High School. She then attended Cosmetology school in Fort Dodge for two years. Bette was married to Gary Stover in Laurens on August 16, 1959. Following their marriage the couple resided in Cheyenne, Wyoming while Gary was stationed at the Air Force base. In 1962, they moved back to Laurens and in 1966, they moved to Spencer. Bette was employed at a flower shop and at the Spencer school. Bette was a member of the First Christian Church and the Eastern Star of Laurens. She is survived by her husband. Gary of Spencer, two daughters and two sons; 3 grandchildren, her mother, Mildred Alborn of Laurens and one brother, Bob Alborn of Ida Grove. She was preceded in death by her father and a grandson, Gerald Edward Koenig, Jr.
