She was born on Feb. 28, 1890 at Shannondale, in Chariton County, Missouri. She was married to Harvey M. Voyles on Mar. 16, 1906. To this union was born four children, three sons, Roy, Paul and baby Ellis Everett, only eight days old; and one daughter, Ellen, who left this world Feb. 9, 1912. She was only four years old when she went to wait the coming of her many relatives and friends. Mrs. Voyles was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Isaac Skinner. Besides her husband, she leaves a mother, two sisters, and two brothers. We can truly say for Mrs. Voyles she was a good woman, a loving wife, kind and tender hearted mother, and one of the best of neighbors. Her loss is deeply felt among us but we hope our loss is her eternal gain. It is sad to have one taken that was so young, so kind and faithful to her children, husband, and friends as well as her God. She could never thank them enough for anything they did for her. Dear husband and children do not weep. The heavenly gate is open for her. Prepare to follow in her footsteps and you will be led to the throne of God. The love and esteem that was felt for her was proven by the floral offering and the large crowd of friends that attended the funeral at the Cherry Box Christian Church, after which her remains were laid beside her little daughter in the Cherry Box Cemetery.
