She was born in Pulaski County March 27, 1886, to the late John Thomas Cox and wife, the late Mrs. Nancy Wren Cox. She was born in Pulaski County March 27, 1886, to the late John Thomas Cox and wife, the late Mrs. Nancy Wren Cox. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Howard Sharp and Mrs. Troy Roberts, both of West Chester, Pa; Mrs. Leon Rosenburg, Shenandoah, and Mrs. Rufus Rippy and Miss Ethel Dotson, both of Galax; three sons, H. L. Dotson and Thomas Dotson, both of West Chester, Pa., and Charlie Dotson, Kernersville, NC; twelve grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 20, at the First Christian Church by the Rev. W. E. Cunningham, pastor of the church, and the Rev. James G. Pickens, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment was in the City Cemetery. The body rested at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home until time for removal to be placed in the church one hour before the services.
