Description	:	Betty Ann Moore, 65, of Methow, passed away due to a brief illness in the U. of W. Medical Center on Nov. 2, 1998. She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Hardisty, Alberta, to Bertha and Bernard Williams. After spending her childhood and early teens in Spokane and Creston, she lived with her uncle and aunt, Glenn and Hazel Morehead and their sons, Don, Ellis and Dean, graduating from Manson High School. Read More	Betty Ann Moore, 65, of Methow, passed away due to a brief illness in the U. of W. Medical Center on Nov. 2, 1998. She was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Hardisty, Alberta, to Bertha and Bernard Williams. After spending her childhood and early teens in Spokane and Creston, she lived with her uncle and aunt, Glenn and Hazel Morehead and their sons, Don, Ellis and Dean, graduating from Manson High School. In 1951 she married David A. Moore at Pateros, where they made their home and started their family. David and Betty both worked in apple packing warehouses until 1965 when they purchased and moved to a ranch and 30-acre apple orchard in the Methow Valley. Betty loved her family and friends, the animals, like Nick our dog, Kitcat her cat and the horses on the ranch. She loved her garden and the outdoors, never taking for granted the beauty and solitude of the Methow Valley. Survivors include her husband, Dave, who lives at the ranch in Methow; eldest son, Mitchell and his wife Johnine who live at the ranch; middle son Randy who also lives at the ranch; and the youngest son Kent, his wife Donna and their three children Shaun, Mindy and Tyler who all live in Pateros. Also the many wonderful family and friends she was fortunate to have. Betty would like those fighting cancer, especially women with breast cancer, to know she had her battle won with cancer, but for a fluke infection which ended up taking her from us. Memorial services will be held at the Pateros cemetery, Nov. 14, 1998 at 11 a.m., with a banquet dinner following at the United Methodist Church of Pateros. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Foundation of Seattle or "Our House", care of Cancer Care of NCW.
