Funeral services at the Central Christian Church in Marshalltown. She will be laid to rest with her husband Charles at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Betty Elliott was born on October 15th, 1923, in Waterloo, the daughter of Irl and Edrie Naomi (Carr) Elliott. She graduated from the Waterloo East High School in the Class of 1941. She will be laid to rest with her husband Charles at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Betty Elliott was born on October 15th, 1923, in Waterloo, the daughter of Irl and Edrie Naomi (Carr) Elliott. She graduated from the Waterloo East High School in the Class of 1941. While in school, Betty played cello in the school's symphony orchestra and also the Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. During WWII, she worked at Black's Department Store in Waterloo. On June 9th, 1946, she was married to Charles Herbert Moore, Jr. at the Central Christian Church in Waterloo, by the Rev. Orville Walker. They lived in Marshalltown where she was a wife and mother to three children, Charles, David, and Susan. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, and cooking. Betty was a fourth-generation member of the Central Christian Church being baptized at age 9. On July 3rd, 1999, she married Marvin McKibben, and gained his children Linda and Steven. Marvin died suddenly on February 26th, 2013. Surviving are her children, Charles Richard "Chuck" (Patty) Moore of Kansas City, Missouri, Anita Moore of Springfield, Missouri, and Susan "Suzie" Moore of Stanhope; her grandchildren, Scott (Anne) Moore of Blue Springs, MO, Traci (Kent) Hall of McKinney, TX, Robert "Bob" (Andrea) Lutter of Story City, IA, and great-grandchildren- Tanner, Ryan, Carter, Avery, Brett, Abigail, Gabriel and Kylie; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; son David; and brother Richard (Ann) Elliott. Loren Strait and Rev. Dianna Clark officiating. She was laid to rest in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Pallbearers were Bob Lutter, Scott Moore, Ryan Moore, Jeff Hazen, Skylar Pierce, and Steve McKibben. Along with family and friends a group from the Marshalltown Fire Department attended.
