Bakke was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1926 in Madison, South Dakota to Odee T. and Bertha M. (Hines) Bakke. She received her education in Madison graduating from Madison High School. On February 2nd, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert E. Berg in Madison, following their marriage the couple moved to Sioux Falls where Betty raised three children at home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, tending to her garden, reading, sewing and crafting. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty was a member of First Christian Church at 13th and Duluth in Sioux Falls. Betty is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marie Wulff. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at the funeral home following the committal service.
