Muhr Life-long Kimball resident Betty Muhr, 73, died at the Kimball County Hospital on Monday, February 4, 2002. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 7, 1 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church of Kimball, with the Rev. Roger Gillming officiating. Burial She was born September 17, 1928, in Kimball a daughter of L.O. and Zola (Schoshke) Vencill. She was a life long resident of the area. She graduated from Kimball High School and attended secretarial school in Denver. For a number of years, she was a secretary at the First State Bank in Kimball retiring in 1990. On September 25, 1949, she and Charles E. "Bud" Schindler were united in marriage. Mr. Schindler died August 15, 1972. She married Larry Muhr on February 22, 1986. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 50 years and was a member of the Church Wesleyan Circle and the United Methodist Church Women. She was a member of the A.P.H.E. Extension Club. She was associated with Job's Daughters for many years and had served as an Honored Queen. She is survived by her husband, Larry of Kimball; sons Charles Tim and his wife Debbie Schindler of LaGrange, Texas, and Cory Muhr of Ft. Collins, Colo.; daughters Cheryl and her husband Tim Weyers of LaJunta, Colo., Julie and her husband Robert Lee of Banner County, and Lorri and her husband Junior Norberg of Bushnell; brothers Jack and his wife Wilma Vencill of Kimball and Jim and his wife Dorothy Vencill of Vernal, Utah; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Bud, a brother Glenn Vencill and a grandson Josh Norberg. Memorial gifts may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice. The Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
