Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Cairo United Methodist Church in Cairo, NE with Pastor Dale Lambert officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Cairo. She was raised in Cairo and attended Dist. 59 grade school and graduated from Cairo High School in 1961. Betty Graduated from Kearney State College with a degree in education. She taught in area schools in Hall County. She was a past member of the G. I. Education Association. Betty was united in marriage at the Cairo United Methodist Church, Nov. 15, 1964 to Robert L. Siemers of Grand Island. They lived on the family farm all of her married life. Survivors include her husband: Robert Bob L. Siemers of Grand Island, two daughters: Bobbi Wiegand and son-in-law, Dan of West Monroe, LA, and, Marcia Siemers of Grand Island, two sons: Ronald L. Siemers and Richard L. Siemers, both of Grand Island, a very special grandson, Lawson D. Wiegand of West Monroe, LA, two sisters: Joyce (Mrs. John) Yosten and Christy (Mrs. Bret) Osburn, and one brother: Jim Perkins. Other survivors include sister-in-laws Geri Wardyn, Betty Critel, Katherine Bader, and Irene Minor, and also several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Clayton, Donald, Edward.
